This is a compilation of resources to boost your ocean research. Below we list some good sources for ocean-data, software tools to analyze it with, and some organizations that you might be interested in.

Matlab:
  • m_map (everything you need to make maps or plot data in matlab from Rich Pawlowicz at UBC)
  • Gibbs Seawater Oceanographic toolbox (includes NEW equation of State, many useful routines)
  • t_tide (analyze your data for its tidal constituents, from Rich Pawlowicz)
Ferret: Software for analysis of large gridded datasets (perfect for datasets in netcdf format)
